THISIS7 – Up on the Roof, Aug ’10

One Sunday, the Golbler did a turn up on the roof. By the Golbler we mean Louise Golbey, a frighteningly talented soul jazz singer who has had her music played on Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra and BBC 6, and has graced the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury.

She’s also a friend of ours and blew away the gathered masses with help from guitarist Johnny du Toit and Jonny Mac (drummer in The London Fields and Morviscous) on perc.

As well as the Golbler, local singer songwriter Simon Tulloch was kind enough to drop by to air a few of his country-tinged tunes, accompanied by cellist Ana Costa. An ad hoc version of The London Fields also put in an appearance.

As ever there was BBQ, rum punch, and good times.
